Young Philanthropist Award

Criteria

Do you know a high school student who has volunteered above and beyond their schools’ community service requirements? Nominate them for the M&M Area Community Foundation’s Young Philanthropist Award!

Since 2006, the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) of the M&M Area Community Foundation and The Stephenson National Bank & Trust have recognized young volunteers who transform their communities.

Nominated students/groups will have volunteered above and beyond their schools’ community service requirements. The volunteering must benefit non-profit organizations as well as the school and have taken place during the 12 months prior to the nomination. Students/groups cannot have accepted a premium from the charitable organization as a reward for their philanthropic efforts. The people/organization benefiting from the volunteer activity may not be a family member of the nominee.

Students, youth clubs, and school organizations residing in Marinette and Menominee counties are eligible for nomination.
Nominated students/groups must be in high school, either public or private.

The winner will be given the opportunity to direct a $500 grant to the non-profit of their choice. The grant funding is provided by the M&M Area Community Foundation’s Youth Field of Interest Fund and The Stephenson National Bank & Trust Community Fund, both held at the M&M Area Community Foundation.

Nominators must be 21 years of age or older. Nominations from family members or members of the same household will not be accepted. Current members of the Youth Advisory Committee are not eligible for nomination.
