Impact areas help guide how generosity is directed across Marinette and Menominee Counties, connecting donor interests with meaningful opportunities for local impact. By organizing giving around shared priorities, the M&M Area Community Foundation is able to respond thoughtfully to community needs while remaining flexible as those needs evolve.
Whether you choose to support a specific impact area or give where it’s needed most, your generosity helps strengthen our communities and ensures giving continues to grow where it matters most.

Our Impact Areas
Impact areas help focus generosity, but there’s more than one way support can flow. Gifts to the M&M Area Community Foundation may support these areas through a variety of funds—including Field of Interest Funds, designated funds, scholarships, and unrestricted giving.
Some donors choose to direct their gifts to a specific impact area they’re passionate about, while others prefer to give where it’s needed most allowing the Foundation to respond flexibly as community needs evolve. No matter how you choose to give, your generosity is stewarded with care and guided by local insight to create meaningful, lasting impact.

The Community Impact Fund supports the most pressing and emerging needs across Marinette and Menominee Counties. By providing flexible, unrestricted support, this fund allows the M&M Area Community Foundation to respond thoughtfully, invest strategically, and strengthen our community today and for generations to come.

Impact areas are shaped by the people and organizations closest to the work. At the M&M Area Community Foundation, our understanding of community needs is informed by ongoing relationships with local nonprofits, schools, civic leaders, and partners across Marinette and Menominee Counties.
Through collaboration, shared learning, and local insight—including the work of the Marinette & Menominee Area Community Collaborative (MMACC)—we stay attuned to emerging challenges and opportunities. This community-informed approach helps ensure generosity is directed where it can make the greatest and most lasting difference.
Stories of Impact
When support is timely and compassionate, it can change the course of someone’s life. The Marinette County Diversion Program works to connect individuals facing substance use challenges with resources, accountability, and support—offering a path forward that prioritizes recovery, stability, and community well-being.
For Renee, participation in the program was a turning point. With access to support and guidance, she was able to begin rebuilding her life—strengthening her health, restoring relationships, and moving toward a more stable future. Her story reflects the power of community-informed solutions that meet people where they are and invest in long-term change.
