NEW HIGLEY FIELD COURT FUND

Sep 25, 2023 | Uncategorized

The Marinette Menominee Pickleball Association has established a Special Project Fund with the M&M Area Community Foundation (MMACF) to support the renovation of Higley Field in Marinette.  The goal is to raise $80,000 to repair cracks on the existing asphalt courts and resurface the entire court area at Higley Field.  In addition, pergolas, wind screens and gondola umbrellas will be added.

“The Community Foundation’s support allows for organizations like ours to develop and grow. We appreciate their expertise in accepting and processing our donations,” stated Brian Swenson, President of the M&M Pickleball Association.

The finished project will include two tennis courts and four dedicated pickleball courts.  The Pickleball Association is also offering naming opportunities for the courts, gondolas, nets, etc.  More details on contribution levels may be found on the Pickleball Association Facebook page or by calling President Brian Swenson at 715-923-1038.

“Assisting other organizations with their special projects strengthens our sense of community and opens new pathways of cooperation,” said Paula Gruszynski, Community Foundation Executive Director.

Checks for the Court Renovation Fund may be mailed to the Community Foundation at 1110 10th Avenue, Suite L-1, Menominee, MI 49858 or made online at www.mmacf.org.
