MENOMINEE, MI – May 23, 2025 — The M&M Area Community Foundation (MMACF) is proud to announce the conclusion of its 2025 scholarship season, awarding a total of $174,340 to students across Marinette and Menominee Counties.
This year’s awards included:
- 70 scholarships across 13 area high schools
- 2 scholarships to nontraditional students
- 1 scholarship supporting expenses for students entering their 3rd or 4th year of college
- 8 renewed scholarships
Foundation staff, board members and donors were honored to attend many of the 15 award ceremonies held across the region—often attending multiple events on the same night. These celebrations highlighted the exceptional talent and dedication of students in every corner of our service area.
“From Niagara to Carney, our school districts should be incredibly proud of the work they’ve done to nurture and support these students,” said Ashley Berken, Executive Director of MMACF. “These young adults are a testament to the strength and commitment of our educators, families, and communities. They’ve built a solid foundation to pursue their dreams.”
The Foundation also recognizes the parents, guardians, and families who have supported these students every step of the way. “To the parents who sat in the stands with teary eyes and proud hearts—thank you for raising such upstanding young adults. We share in your pride,” Berken added.
As these students take their next steps, MMACF hopes they’ll one day return to Marinette and Menominee Counties to grow their roots and give back to the communities that helped shape them. We are, and always will be, Marinette and Menominee County Proud.
