During the week of November 12th – 18th, the M&M Area Community Foundation (MMACF) joins more than 700 community foundations across the U.S. in observing Community Foundation Week. Created by Presidential decree in 1989, the designation recognizes the partnerships developed by community foundations with public, private and nonprofit sectors as they collaborate to build and strengthen the places they call home.
Community foundations are playing an ever-increasing role as communities seek to capture the generosity of both individual and corporate donors. Foundations provide guidance for charitable giving and the development of public support for strategic action vital to healthy growth.
“Our work succeeds because people understand that our future depends on the actions we take today,” said Jackie Kamps, MMACF Board President. “Very little can be accomplished without strong leadership and the resources to support a plan of action. Our Board of Directors believes our legacy will be defined through collaboration, strategic planning and a willingness to lead,” she concluded.
The following Sponsors provided financial support to the MMACF in 2023: Bellin Health, Waupaca Foundry, R. W. Fernstrum & Company, Tom & Sandy Kuber, Mary Woleske, Woodmont Investment Counsel, Boyle Design Group, Joe Woleske, Dave & CarolLynn Higley, Ken Jones, CPA, Northern Coatings & Chemical, Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home, PCM Credit Union, Plutchak Fab, Evergreen Tool, The Harbors Retirement Community, Phil & Karen Zwergel, Christensen Machinery, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, Tony & Joanne Furton, Dan & Deb Ward, Ameriprise Financial – Mark Rasner, Menominee Granite Company, ChemDesign, North & Jan Shetter, Stellar Enterprise, LaCabana, Gene & Sandy Davenport and John & Mari MacIntyre.
