Nominations will open at 9:00am Tuesday, March 20th and close at noon on Thursday, April 19th.
Since 2006, the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) of the M&M Area Community Foundation and The Stephenson National Bank & Trust have recognized young volunteers who transform their communities.
Students, small groups or school organizations throughout Marinette and Menominee counties are eligible to receive the award. Nominated students/groups must be in high school, either public or private.
The winner will be given the opportunity to direct a grant to the non-profit of their choice. The grant funding is provided by the M&M Area Community Foundation YAC along with The Stephenson National Bank & Trust. In addition, recipients’ names will be added to the Young Philanthropist Award plaque and each recipient will receive a personal plaque.
- Nominated students/groups will have volunteered above and beyond their schools’ community service requirements.
- The volunteering must benefit non-profit organizations as well as the school and have taken place during the 12 months prior to the nomination.
- Students/groups cannot have accepted a premium from the charitable organization as a reward for their philanthropic efforts.
- The people/organization benefiting from the volunteer activity may not be a family member of the nominee.
Nominators must be 21 years of age or older. Nominations from family members or members of the same household will not be accepted.
